HOPE, HEALING & OPPORTUNITY TO JAMAICA
God designed us to move through time with intentionality, and this is exactly what The American-Caribbean Experience does. Our vision is to intentionally bring hope, healing and opportunity to the people of Jamaica in the name of Christ.
All ministries are unique and have a specific place in God’s plan to bring redemption to His creation. Through the guidance of a committed board of directors, faithful supporters, and 20 years of ministry to Jamaicans, our vision and calling has taken shape:
A SHARP FOCUS: ST. MARY’S PARISH
Rather than compromise our ability to provide a diversity of services, ACE has chosen to focus our vision to impact the people of the parish of St. Mary—the poorest of 14 parishes on the island (akin to one of our states.) Our desire is to continue to grow our ministry in St. Mary’s, enriching lives, ministering to souls and transforming our dearly loved community.
LONG-TERM COMMITMENT
We believe that lasting change requires long-term commitment. After 20 years in Jamaica, we are at a season in ministry where we are beginning to enjoy the fruit of many decades-old relationships. These relationships give us the ability to partner Jamaican churches with teams from the U.S., based on the need of the Jamaican church and the aptitude of the team, maximizing the long-term impact of many short-term trips. This simplistic approach has proved most effective for the U.S. teams and local churches.
HOLISTIC COMMUNITY TRANSFORMATION
At its most basic, our mission is to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. We desire to testify to the Gospel through word and deed by bringing spiritual renewal and discipleship, physical healing and sustenance, and much needed economic development to St. Mary’s parish. Through this holistic approach we have witnessed moments of dramatic life-change and community transformation.
