American-Caribbean Experience is based in St. Mary, Jamaica— the poorest parish on the island. In order to bring hope, healing and opportunity to the people of Jamaica, A.C.E. focuses on four areas of outreach: Education, Community & Spiritual Development, Health & Wellbeing, and Economy. It is only in partnership with friends like you that we are able to continually impact the lives around us and share the message that they have a Father that loves them and has a plan for their life. ACTS Church Plant To meet the need for a place where the community can come and freely worship, Pastor Winston Watson from Christ Alive Church in Kingston as come to open Christ Alive Galina! Our Church opened it’s doors April 3, 2011 with a warm welcome from the community. We are currently meeting at Galina Breeze Hotel and need to find a location we can call our own to properly facilitate our various meetings and programs. Donations will help purchase a building for our Plant Church, ACTS Church.
St. Mary Infirmary Every parish on the island has an infirmary, or “poorhouse”. The patients are in need of food and supplies, but most of all, love and attention. We have come along side the St. Mary Infirmary to help meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the patients. We have seen the quality of life drastically improve since we have been making frequent visits. Funding is needed to continue to meet the needs of these precious ones. One-time donation or regular support provides food and medical supplies.
Micro-Business The ACE Micro-Business program provides the opportunity for local Jamaicans who wish to start their own business to apply for a small loan to help get their business started. These loans are offered at a very low rate and the interest gained then goes to fund other loans. Many who were once unemployed are now proud business owners able to provide while improving the local economy! Any amount donated will help us offer more loans to approved candidates or you can sponsor a specific business. Call or email for details. Child Sponsorship When A.C.E. partners with a school, we enter into a 10 year commitment with that school. Our Child Sponsorship program identifies the children in need and when they are sponsored for only $30/month, our program gives them school uniforms, food, personalized tutoring, a backpack, and school supplies. You can also help support a classroom. Funds donated to a classroom will provide them with educational materials and fund educational field trips organized by A.C.E. $360/year or $30/month feeds a child and enables them to go to school. OR to support a class, any donation provides class materials and and finance ACE-spnosored field trips.
Green Life Farms Green Life Farms is a project to help St. Mary once again become the “breadbasket of Jamaica” producing the finest fruits and vegetables on the island. Through the Green Life Farm program, we are helping to get small farmers started by helping teaching them 21st century gardening techniques and providing them with slow drip irrigation systems so they no longer lose their crops to the drought. $500/year or $41/month supplies one farmer with tools to begin a farm, or $1500 provides a slow drip irrigarion system to susutain an entire farm.
