I was born and raised in Eaton, Ohio on a county farm until I married
my husband, Stanley. We had one child, Marie, who has blessed us with
six grandchildren.
Marie and her husband Rod live in the Cincinnati
area. My husband Stanley operated his own plumbing company for years
and then passed away in 2002.
My father, Vernie, was a farmer by day and semi-truck driver at night. My mother, Zonia, was a farmer's wife who sometimes worked outside the
house to make ends meet. They raised five children on that farm. We
grew and canned all our vegetables, and then raised and butchered
beef, pork, and chicken.
I'm proud to be a member of Ginghamsburg Church in Tipp City, Ohio. My
service at Ginghamsburg Church has been the foundation of my spiritual
growth and calling to serve Christ on mission. My opportunities at
Ginghamsburg have led me to Jamaica to serve with "ACE".
Currently I
am serving ACE in a variety of ways; including helping to facilitate
teams that come to Jamaica on mission, working with the micro loan
program, service and maintenance at the ACE campus/hotel, and much
more.
My passion is to help those in need and to see people come to
know Christ and grow in their relationship with Him. The theme I have
adopted for this stage of my life is "Live simply so that others may
simply live."
