This past season has been one of great celebration and joy within our Child Sponsorship Program!

The first celebration came after several of our sponsor students at Mason Hall Primary and Infant School received literacy awards, recognizing their hard work in reading, writing, and overall academic growth. These young achievers are not only improving their skills—they’re building confidence and opening doors to brighter futures.

Did you know, the literacy rate in poorer areas of Jamaica can be as low as 47% (via the Jamaica Observer)? Our Child Sponsorship program helps to improve statistics like these, as your monthly support helps cover the essential care, support, and resources they need to succeed and reach their fullest potential.

The vision clinic hosted by the Eyes on Jamaica team earlier this month was our other reason to celebrate our students recently! We provided full eye exams to 435 students and 57 adults, and fitted and gifted 79 pairs of eyeglasses on the spot to those who needed them.

Of those served, 40 sponsored students received exams, and 7 sponsored children walked away with brand-new glasses!

What a joy it is to provide clear vision to students who can now focus better in class, read more easily, and better participate in lessons!

The reality is, your support for these students makes these success stories and celebrations possible. When you sponsor a child through ACE, you’re not just giving money, you’re investing in a child’s health, education, and future. You’re also building life-long relationships that impact both their families and yours when you write to your student(s) or come visit them in person.

We invite you to join this life-changing work by becoming a sponsor today.
