This year, several ACE sponsors joined mission teams in Jamaica and had the special joy of visiting their sponsored children. These personal encounters highlight one of the most rewarding parts of our Child Sponsorship program: the opportunity to build real relationships.
Dave and Linda H. traveled with the Castine team and were able to visit Latoya and her daughters. “We really enjoyed our visit… It was fun seeing them again,” they shared. “On our last mission trip with ACE in 2022, we were able to help paint Latoya’s house. We really enjoyed seeing Latoya in her home and how she has really fixed it up with flowers and plants everywhere. ACE does an excellent job of allowing each of the kids you sponsor to meet and spend some time together. We are really appreciative of all that ACE does for the families they sponsor and for the sponsors to get to meet their sponsored child when they go on their mission trip with ACE to Jamaica.”
Another sponsor, Jolene H., echoed this. After years of sponsoring through a larger organization, she switched to ACE for the chance to meet her child. “I’ve met my sponsor kids during medical missions for two years now. For me, sponsoring a child is deeply rewarding, knowing I’m helping kids with school uniforms, lunches, field trips, etc. Not only providing for a child physically, but praying each day for their spiritual needs, too.”
These stories remind us that sponsorship isn’t just providing financial support—it’s joining a partnership to help children reach their fullest potential. When sponsors travel with ACE teams, they see firsthand the impact of their support and form lasting bonds.
