It may be cold in January, but it’s beautiful weather here in St. Mary, Jamaica. Next month is our 18th Annual Men’s and Women’s Conference at Galina Breeze Hotel. Our theme is, “From Pain to Purpose”, not just because Hurricane Melissa gave us a visit last quarter, but also because life happens quickly to most of us, all of which is unexpected and sometimes painful.

As we age, we see our loved ones transitioning out of the world into eternity. While we know that this is part of life, it’s painful to experience the sadness and grief that follows. If it’s not the loss of a loved one, perhaps the pain you’ve endured is the loss of a job, a sudden illness, or simply your expectations not turning out the way you thought they would. All of these moments in life can cause us pain and make us wonder why they occur in the first place.

Next month, you will hear from Mrs. Melinda Hendrix, a great teacher and speaker from the U.S. She will discuss how God uses circumstances beyond our control to direct our purpose for the future. And she’ll tie it back to how our pain is real, but just as the Bible says, joy still comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5).

We’ve all been there; we’ve all asked God why. Come join us in February for this three-night conference, and see how God has moved you amid the pain and is still moving you to find your purpose.

For those of you coming from outside of Jamaica, speak to the office about extending your stay so you can enjoy some quality time with your ACE friends, as well as the peace and quiet that February in Jamaica brings.

It’s also Valentine’s Month, so don’t forget to bring your Valentine along!
