The family unit is a marvel when established upon love. Love is the glue that holds a family together even through the hardest seasons. The Clue family is a beautiful representation of one such family unit. Even though they went through a season of unemployment, they always trusted that love would bring them through. Their children were added to the ACE sponsorship program, and the family received assistance to help cover the costs of sending them to school. Damion, the father, was especially grateful and wrote letters to the sponsors expressing his gratitude. He was always very welcoming to the ACE staff, meeting them on the road with a jubilant spirit. Eventually, Damion was able to find work and began making improvements to their home. Things were really looking up for their family.
Then, in an instant, everything changed.
Our staff knew something was wrong during a recent visit as they passed Damion on the road and he didn’t recognize them. Sadly, Damion experienced a serious accident or stroke that caused him to lose his memory and revert to acting like a young child. Mrs. Clue picked up where her husband left off and found a little work helping a friend with her shop. With a son soon graduating high school, a daughter who suffered a seizure, and a husband struggling to regain his memories, Mrs. Clue found herself overwhelmed, yet hopeful that God would provide and love would see them through. ACE saw the Clue family, realized the need, and acted by providing them with groceries.
Now, you have an opportunity to help us do more.
ACE would like to continue to shoulder some of Mrs. Clue’s burden by adding the Clue family to our family sponsorship. We wish to provide quarterly groceries for the family and assist with other needs as they arise.
